Photography and Video – Ask The Camera Geek
I walk around attached to some sort of camera, albeit a DSLR with long lens, or large video camera on a rig just about every day. With a lot of gear comes a lot of questions about photography and video.
What camera should I buy? Nikon or Canon? How do I take better photos? What video camera do you recommend? What the heck does the PSAM mean on my camera? What lens should I get? How come some lenses are so expensive? How many megapixels is enough? What is a megapixel? Why are my photos always blurry, I bought this camera to take better photos! Aperture, shutter speed, ISO, white balance, what does it all mean?
I find myself often answering the same questions over and over. So feel free to ask your camera questions, no matter how simple or complex and I will answer them for you. If I don’t know the answer myself, I ‘ll do a little digging for you and try to figure it out.
Photography and videography are a constant learning curve. When you think you know it all, you get complacent and you get left behind. This exercise will keep my skills fresh and offer a benefit to my reading community. So, don’t be shy, ask away, there are no stupid questions!
If you’ve got any video or photo related questions, feel free to ask away.
